Psychology

Psychology at Autism Alliance offers a range of services including psychological assessment, counselling, support and education to support individuals and families to reach their full potential across home, educational, community and employment settings. Our psychology services can assist children and their families in understanding and accepting their child's diagnosis, supporting successful transitions, emotional regulation and managing challenging behaviours.

Our assessments and interventions will be tailored to the individual needs of the child and their families, with a focus on building strengths to foster independence, confidence and self-esteem.

Our individually tailored psychology services are also available to adolescents and adults and can support you with coping with difficult life events, accepting and understanding a disability or mental health diagnosis, managing anxiety and depression, social and relationship challenges, and preparing for employment. Parent/caregiver training is offered on a regular basis and can also be tailored to the individual needs of the family, caregivers, and support staff.

We look forward to supporting you throughout your life journey.

Service availability: Please note that we cater for everyone and are in no way limited to a diagnosis of autism. Special needs programs can accommodate a wide variety of disabilities and conditions.
